Artist's Comments

A commission for colored using some help from a tutorial from The lineart itself was done about two weeks ago, was inked and scanned into Photoshop where I've been playing with the colors on and off for these past two weeks in my limited spare time. The hobbit girl herself is from one of 's photography collection and the hobbit hole was referenced a bit from artwork from the Lord of the Rings movies themselves. I used alot of shadows to show how dark the piece is and the hobbit girl's upcoming battle with an evil (orc?). The Shire is being overrun! From her stern, steady gaze she is ready for battle. Will she be victorious?

Approx. Total Time: 2 weeks (on and off)
Software: Photoshop only
References: photograph of girl and movie artwork of Lord of the Rings movies

2nd Edit: I added some more highlights to the hair, shirt, sword and a wee bit on the skirt after some comments people made. :)

I like it. :) j00 r teh roxorz. Should the sword have a glare? even in darkness, there are some glare spots perhaps? anywho. Message me sometime! :) Ciao for now!

I considered it to be a dull sword from looking at the original. There is a bit of gradient reflecting some light but according to my details here no one has full viewed it xD Thank you for the comments though. I need to work more on my artwork so I can get some faves. I will message you maybe tomorrow if I have time at work. Finals are this week. :hug: :heart: Talk to you soon.

Hobbitses (even the women) have very hairy feet xD I had hair on there before but I made it soft and light but then I looked at a picture of Sam's wife and realized her feet hair was very dark, even darker than the hair on her head. ^^;
